Sewing Inspiration: Guest Outfit Patterns for a Wedding

One wedding often leads to another, and the season of celebrations is fast approaching. If you’re anything like me, you never quite know what to wear – and you definitely don’t want to show up in the same outfit as last time. So here are a few sewing patterns for a wedding that are currently at the top of my to-sew list.

1. The Andrea dress by Belen Paris:

In my opinion, this dress is perfect for a wedding. Elegant yet understated, it offers several versions. Pair it with simple accessories and heeled shoes for a chic and feminine look. Personally, I would imagine it in a solid fabric to highlight its cut and details.

If you're looking for Sézane-inspired inspiration, look no further: the Magali dress from Ma Petite Fabrique is reminiscent of the famous Dorotha dress. Its straight cut flatters the silhouette, while the slit adds a subtle touch of elegance.

A straight cut, a backless design, and side slits—this is the perfect combo for a wedding outfit. That's what the Atacama dress offers. Let your imagination run wild by choosing thin or wide straps. You can also opt to sew the short version.

Pastel colors are trending this season and the Aladabra dress in soft tones such as pale pink, blue sky or lavander would be perfect. A short sleeve extension has recently been added on the website.

The jumpsuit is another essential piece for wedding outfits. The Oliver design perfectly combines elegance, with its twisted neckline, and comfort, thanks to its wide-leg cut.
